Here we go again!! I don’t know if you remember, but there were many problems that plagued the set of the first WORLD WAR Z production. Going grossly over budget, losing directors, getting in trouble with the locals about all the stage weapons. It was a miracle the first film was ever released!! Well, it seems like the past is repeating itself.

Deadline.com is reporting that director Juan Antonio Bayona has exited the production of the sequel to WORLD WAR Z.

Juan Antonio Bayonahas just exited as director of the sequel to World War Z, the film that Paramount and Plan B are readying for a summer start with Brad Pitt reprising his lead role as the man who fights the zombie apocalypse. The studio and Plan B have a script by Steven Knight that Dennis Kelly rewrote. Bayona’s abrupt exit is being attributed to timing. The studio is determined to get this picture into production for June 9, 2017 release and Bayona felt he needed more time because he has commitments on the film he just shot, A Monster Calls.

We’ll see if Paramount is able to keep this film on schedule.

Stay Bloody!!!

I’m still looking for one of those blu-ray 3Ds of the first one to take home with me; but when we meet, they are always so pricey! (strange, but that happens to me a lot with women too…)
