Hi Scott, thanks for setting up this site. It is awesome for the hardcore horror buff! I just have a quick question for you: is it true that they’re gonna do a remake of Stephen King’s Pet Sematary? I am very much hoping so, as the first movie in the 80’s was cheesey and didn’t even come close to doing the novel justice. I first read that book when I was 18 (playing football and chasing cheerleaders in HS, way past the age of being scared of the dark), and for weeks afterwards I literally was too scared to get up in the middle of the night to get a glass of water, lest little Gage Creed would be waiting for me in the kitchen. It is the one work of horror fiction that not only scared me, but disturbed me to the core. In fact, I don’t think I’ve ever seen or read anything like it again.

Also, I think there’s a not-well-known movie that your site should give honorable mention to, in my opinion. Session 9 starring David Caruso (I think it came out in 05?) could very well the best low-budget horror movie in recent memory. It’s one of those movies that didn’t need to show special effects to be scary – and it was. It was incredibly disturbing.

Anyway, thanks for creating this site.
    Stay bloody.

    • Thanks for the nice words Verne!! There is indeed a remake planned for Pet Sematary. It’s slated for a 2013 release and there’s absolutely no one connected to the project yet: no writer, director, actors, … no one.

I have discussed and mentioned SESSION 9 many times here. SESSION 9 is one of my favorite all time horror films!! It’s so friggin’ effective and scary. I watch it every 4-5 months and that goddamn ending never fails to make the hairs on my arms stand up and send shivers up and down my spine!! Love it.

Wow, this is such a cool horror blogging site. I read your intro and it blew me away how much you sounded just like me when I was a kid. I loved the old mom and pop video stores of yesteryear. Those old video havens was where I learned everything about horror (that and USA’s Up All Night, remember that?) I plan on following your blog and reading your newest entries. Thanks for creating such an awesome site.

    • Aahhh yes, Matt. We do indeed sound like we share a common past. I actually get nostalgic for the old mom&pop video stores. Where else could you find CANNIBAL FEROX sitting on a shelf, wedged between Disney’s Bambi and CADDYSHACK??? And do I remember USA Up All Night?? Check out one of the first reviews I did on my site: http://anythinghorror.com/2010/01/19/movie-review-plaguers-2008/

Thanks a lot for the nice words Matt!! Hope to see you around and leaving your thoughts more!!

    • Thanks for the nice words Misery!! Yeah, the current state of horror is pretty lame … that’s why I’ve been turning more and more to the indie horror scene. They may not always be successful, but at least it’s original!!
