New Poster & 1st Clip Drop for Bruce McDonald’s Hellions

Here’s a film that’s been getting some pretty good buzz at this year’s Sundance Film Festival. HELLIONS is the upcoming Halloween-themed horror flick from one of my favorite genre director’s, Bruce McDonald. McDonald has over sixty-five directorial credits under his belt including HARD CORE LOGO, THE RAY BRADBURY THEATER TV series, and of course PONTYPOOL – perhaps the most unique take on the zombie film to date. HELLIONS is written by Pascal Trottier, who wrote one episode of the creepy TV series DARKNET and wrote the screenplay of the Laurence Fishburne-Bill Paxton flick THE COLONY. HELLIONS is about a girl who is terrorized on Halloween night by three trick or treaters who aren’t what they seem. Check out the plot crunch:
Strange trick-or-treaters plague conflicted teenager Dora Vogel (Chloe Rose) at her isolated home on Halloween. Under siege by forces she can’t understand, Dora must defend both body and soul from relentless Hellions, dead-set on possessing something Dora will not give them. Set in a visually haunting landscape, Hellions redefines the boundaries of horror with its potent brew of Halloween iconography, teenage angst and desperate survival.
HELLIONS stars Chloe Rose, Rossif Sutherland, Rachel Wilson, Peter DaCunha, Luke Bilyk, Robert Patrick, Nicholas Craig, and Sydney Cross. No official release date or trailer has been announced yet but there’s a clip from the film you can check out:
If HELLIONS is anything like McDonald’s previous genre outings we can expect some beautiful imagery contrasted with some truly horrific visions. I’m really looking forward to this one.
Stay Bloody!!!
