Teaser Trailer Drops for New Werewolf Film, Fang

Why don’t we get more werewolf films? Think about it, of all the various sub-genres in horror, the werewolf is criminally neglected. We sometimes go years without getting a werewolf film … or a good werewolf film. The last really kick ass werewolf film I can think of off the top of my head is Neil Marshall’s 2002 film, Dog Soldiers. (I’m not including 2014’s Late Phases because that film was a blatant ripoff of Silver Bullet.) Well, filmmaker Adam R Steigert is hoping to add to this neglected sub-genre with his upcoming film, Fang. Fang is written and directed by Steigert and stars Melantha Blackthorne, Gregory Blair, Melodie Roehrig, Darren Barcomb, Scott Emerling, Jennie Russo, and Theo Maefs. Check out the plot crunch:

After participating in a robbery turned murder, Chloe (Melodie Roehrig) and Joe (Theo Maefs) decided to hide out at a distant relative’s house only to find themselves stalked and hunted by creatures and forces unknown.

Not a very detailed plot crunch, but you get the idea. Here’s more from the press release:

Production has begun on the horror feature and promises a fresh new tale in the mythology of werewolf films as horror icon Melantha Blackthorne is set to play Doris, the film’s lead antagonist.

Director Adam R Steigert (STAR: Space Traveling Alien Reject, A Grim Becoming) has been known for his unique methods of storytelling and has been promising a hardcore horror film for years and pledges to make the film a gory, suspenseful thrill ride.

I’m definitely down for a hardcore, gory horror film that redefines the werewolf mythology!! Check out the teaser trailer:

What do you think? I’m keeping my fingers crossed that Steigert can deliver the goods.

Stay Bloody!!!
