Clowns. Those tragically amusing figures that grace such fun-filled occasions like circuses, rodeos, and children’s birthdays. Clowns seem to be an easy figure to exploit in the horror world. Remember the stuffed clown-doll toy at the beginning of POLTERGEIST? What about Pennywise from IT? Yup, clowns have definitely become the stuff of nightmares in contemporary horror films, and the upcoming CLOWN hopes to further push the envelop of scaring the shit out of viewers.

CLOWN is written by Christopher Ford and Jon Watts (Watts also directed), and stars Andy Powers, Laura Allen, Peter Stormare, Christian Distefano, Elizabeth Whitmere, and Lucas Kelly. A little boy’s birthday party gets ruined when his entertainment (clown) cancels. His father finds a clown suit and becomes the new entertainment but something is weird about it, there is an evil curse and it won’t come off. He specializes in eating little kids… everything after that goes down hill.
