Carpenter Returning to Haddonfield!!
Almost 40 years after John Carpenter made his seminal HALLOWEEN, reported are comiong in that he is returning to Haddonfield!! According to ComingSoon, Carpenter has signed on to executive produce the upcoming new HALLOWEEN sequel, and is, allegedly, set to write the score to the film.
Trancas International, Miramax, and Blumhouse are teaming up to co-finance the tenth film in the HALLOWEEN franchise … with John Carpenter. Here’s what Carpenter had to say about the deal:
“38 years after the original Halloween. I’m going to help to try to make the 10th sequel the scariest of them all.”
I think I can speak for all horror fans everywhere that we are all overdue for a scary HALLOWEEN film. Here’s what Jason Blum had to say about the upcoming film:
“‘Halloween’ is one of those milestone films that inspired everyone at our company to get into the world of scary movies,” says Jason Blum. “The great Malek Akkad and John Carpenter have a special place in the hearts of all genre fans and we are so excited that Miramax brought us together. We cannot wait to find and collaborate with the right filmmaker to give ‘Halloween’ fans the movie they deserve.”
