Horror Prequel, Leatherface, Drops New Poster
Bet you never thought you’d see a film featuring a teenaged Leatherface … well imagine that teenaged Leatherface running around in shorts and sneakers!! The horror prequel LEATHERFACE, set to drop sometime in 2016, has recently released the first poster and some new details about the project.
The new entry into the franchise is directed by Alexandre Bustillo and Julien Maury, is written by Seth M. Sherwood, and stars Lili Taylor, Stephen Dorff, Nicole Andrews, Sam Strike, Vanessa Grasse, James Bloor, Sam Coleman, and Julian Kostov. Check out the plot crunch:
In this prequel to The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, a young nurse is kidnapped by a group of violent teens who escape from a mental hospital and take her on a road trip from hell. Pursued by an equally deranged lawman out for revenge, one of these teens is destined for tragedy and horrors that will destroy his mind, molding him into the monster we now call Leatherface.
Gotta be honest, it sounds a lot like Zombie’s, THE DEVIL’S REJECTS, with teens in it, but I’m interested to see how it plays out. Also from the poster, you can see how teen-Leatherface’s face is hidden. I think the film will keep you guessing which psycho teen will end up being the mask-wearing, chainsaw-wielding, bat-shit crazy titular character.
What do you think? Looking forward to this prequel?
