EJECTA (2014)
A reclusive UFO believer (Julian Richings) attracts the attention of a documentary filmmaker (Adam Seybold) through postings on the Internet. On the night the two men meet up, a ship of unknown origin crashes nearby, and they set out to investigate–which leads to their capture by a government doctor (Lisa Houle) willing to use torture to get the answers she desires. KANTEMIR (2014)
Iconic horror actor John (Robert Englund) accepts a gig in a remote Pennsylvania town, playing the villain in a previously unproduced gothic play. NIGHTMARE CASTLE (1965)
Barbara Steele plays a dual role in this atmospheric European horror outing about a doctor (Paul Muller) who tortures and kills his unfaithful wife (Steele) and her lover (Rik Battaglia) as part of his experiments in regenerating human blood. Looking to further profit from his act of bloody vengeance, the doctor then marries her half-sister (Steele again, now with blonde hair) who is due to inherit her considerable wealth. Pierce Brosnan stars in this eerie thriller about a French teacher visiting L.A. who finds himself attacked and driven mad by a mysterious street gang that seems to be more than human. As it turns out, his tormentors have their origins in Eskimo legend, and might succeed in manifesting their evil unless he can find some way to communicate their secrets to someone who will understand his ravings. WILLIAM CASTLE HORROR COLLECTION
An occult researcher dies and leaves his nephew’s family a creepy mansion complete with a spooky housekeeper, a hidden treasure, and “13 Ghosts” (1960) that can only be seen with the special lenses he invented. Director William Castle’s campy horror treat stars Martin Milner, Rosemary DeCamp, Charles Herbert, and Margaret Hamilton. Next, a 19th-century baron whose face is frozen in a hideous grin coerces his wife’s former beau–a top neurosurgeon–into working on a cure in the Gothic chiller “Mr. Sardonicus” (1961), with Guy Rolfe, Audrey Dalton, Ronald Lewis, and Oscar Homolka.
