Kurt Russell Horror-Western Bone Tomahawk Set to Headline 2015 Fantastic Fest

There’s so many awesome things happening in the above headline!! Firstly, Kurt Russell is returning to the genre; secondly, Russell is starring in a horror film; thirdly, the film, BONE TOMAHAWK, is getting mad buzz and great word of mouth. BONE TOMAHAWK is written and directed by S. Craig Zahler and in addition to Russell stars an all-star cast including Lili Simmons, Patrick Wilson, Matthew Fox, Sean Young, David Arquette, Richard Jenkins, Sid Haig, and Michael Paré. This is a phenomenal cast!!

BONE TOMAHAWK is set to headline the upcoming 2015 Fantastic Fest, held in Austin, Texas from September 24 to October 1, 2015, and will close the festival and have its world premier on the closing night of the festival. Check out the plot crunch:

When a group of cannibal savages kidnaps settlers from the small town of Bright Hope, an unlikely team of gunslingers, led by Sheriff Franklin Hunt, sets out to bring them home. But their enemy, a gang of cannibalistic cave dwellers, is more ruthless than anyone could have imagined, putting their mission – and survival itself – in serious jeopardy.

And it seems that BONE TOMAHAWK has all the right juju, because it has landed a distributor before it even had its world premier. Image Entertainment has re-branded and become RLJ Entertainment. And their first acquisition BONE TOMAHAWK. RLJ will distribute the film throughout all of North America.
