New Line Rebooting Nightmare on Elm Street … Again

Here we go again. Starting to feel like NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET is the FANTASTIC FOUR of the horror world!! New Line Cinema recently announced that they will be polishing up the razor gloves for a new reboot of NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET. According to TheWrap.com, New Line Cinema has already hired the writer:

NOES-FP-020 JACKIE EARLE HALEY as Freddy Krueger in New Line Cinema’s horror film, “A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET,” a Warner Bros. Pictures release.

New Line Cinema has started developing a new “A Nightmare On Elm Street” film and has hired David Leslie Johnson (“Orphan”) to write the script.

Johnson also write the scripts of 2009s ORPHAN, 2011s RED RIDING HOOD, 2012s WRATH OF THE TITANS, and is currently doing rewrites for THE CONJURING 2. So far he’s got a real hit and miss resume, but I’m curious to see what he can do with the NIGHTMARE franchise.

Stay Bloody!!!
