William Shatner Starring in a Horror-Themed X-Mas Movie!!

What other name than William Shatner inspires such images of B-movie acting and scene chewing? Okay, okay … maybe David Hasselhoff and to a lesser extent, Andy Dick, but Shatner is the King!! From his turn on the USS Enterprise, to his battle against hundreds of thousands of spiders, to his doe-eyed, panicked performance at 20,000 feet, Shatner is an American treasure. Now he’s lending his gifts to the upcoming holiday-themed anthology horror flick, A CHRISTMAS HORROR STORY. The anthology is directed by Steven Hoban, Grant Harvey, and Brett Sullivan, is written by Jason Filiatrault, James Kee, Sarah Larsen, Doug Taylor, and Pascal Trottier, and stars William Shatner, George BuzaPercy Hynes WhiteRob Archer, Jeff Clarke, Jessica Clement, and Debra McCabe. From the press release:

RLJ Entertainment, (NASDAQ: RLJE), under its Image Entertainment brand, has acquired all U.S. rights to the highly anticipated horror film, ‘A Christmas Horror Story.’  Directed by Steven Hoban (Darknet), Grant Harvey (‘She Made Me Do It’) and Brett Sullivan (‘Ginger Snaps 2: Unleashed’), the film stars William Shatner (‘Star Trek’) and George Buza (‘X-Men’).  The film will premiere on July 20, 2015 at this year’s Fantasia Film Festival. Mark Ward, RLJ Entertainment’s Chief Acquisitions Officer, made the announcement today.

A CHRISTMAS HORROR STORY will have three interlocking tales. The first is about a family hunted by the folkloric anti-Santa Claus demon Krampus; the second deals with Santa fighting off zombie elves; and in the third a family begins to fear something is seriously wrong with their seven-year-old son after chopping down a Christmas tree in the forest.

No official trailer or release date is set yet, but this is expected to be released later in 2015 (I’m guessing maybe around … Chistmas??). But I promise you all that I’m not going to write an article about how popular Krampus is now. I promise.

Stay Bloody!!!
