If just reading this name brought a smile to your face then you are definitely at the right website. Just hearing or reading this name brings back great memories of a time in filmmaking when gore was still in its infancy. Over fifty years ago Lewis was THE guy when it came to splatter flicks and gory exploitation films. Lewis was a pioneer and bathed drive-in screens is bright red blood. Lewis gave audiences in the early 1960s something they hadn’t seen before, and something they obviously craved: gore, titties, and some good old-fashioned exploitation. Lewis’ early gore movies include BLOOD FEAST, TWO THOUSAND MANIACS!, COLOR ME BLOOD RED, A TASTE OF BLOOD, and THE GRUESOME TWOSOME. What Lewis’ films had in common is that they were cheap, they were cheesy and silly, and they were gory!!

Then just as exploitation and gore flicks were starting to pick up, Lewis retired in 1972. He came back on the scene fifteen years later with BLOOD FEAST 2: ALL U CAN EAT and THE UH! OH! SHOW. Lewis is now 86 years old and has a brand spanking new movie coming our way titled BLOODMANIA.

BLOODMANIA (a.k.a, Hersschell Gordon Lewis’ BLOODMANIA) is a horror anthology comprised of four stories written by Lewis, Kevin Littlelight, James Saito, Justin Sane, and Bob Schultz. The segments are directed by Lewis, Littlelight, and Melanie Reinboldt. Check out the description of BLOODMANIA:
