Watch the Short Lovecraftian-Inspired Film, Thresher
As a young, impressionable kid, the two writers that introduced me to the written world of horror were Edgar Allan Poe and H.P. Lovecraft. Recently my passion for all things Lovecraft has been re-sparked (one of my upcoming novels will be heavy on the Lovecraftian themes) and I’ve been keeping an eye out for any new films and/or short films that were either inspired by Lovecraft, or have Lovecraftian themes. THRESHER more than fulfills my Lovecraft craving. THRESHER is directed by Michael Dahlquist, written by Dahlquist, Collin Kelly, Jackson Lanzing, Jan-Michael Losada, George Oz, and Sam Shapson, and stars Nick Gregorio, Douglas Olsson, and Ruben Pla. Now usually when a film’s writer out number two-to-one, I’d say run for the hills. But here, everything seemed to work out fine.
The plot crunch is simple:
A man locked in a room faces inter-dimensional terror.
