New Poster Drops for the Short Film, HEIR

It’s only Tuesday and I’m already having a very humdrum week. I’ve been editing my second novel (I hate editing) and have been racking my brain on how to begin my third novel. Then this morning I open my email and everything was all right. Not only did I get a message announcing the new poster for the short film HEIR (see image below), but I also got the screener (look for me review soon). Not sure why I’m so stoked? Let me refresh your memory. HEIR, produced by Fatal Pictures in association with Red Sneakers Media, is written and directed by Richard Powell, and this short marks the conclusion of what has been called the “Box Cutter Trilogy.” Powell, along with producer Zach Green and actor Robert Nolan, were all involved with the first two shorts in this trilogy; 2010s WORM and 2012s FAMILIAR. I am a huge fan of the Powell-Green-Nolan triumvirate and am sad to see this trilogy come to and end, but excited to see what’s next for these three.

The “Box Cutter Trilogy” is made up of three loosely connected shorts that each represent “different theories on the origin and operation of sociopaths.” What’s not to love, right? In addition to Nolan, HEIR also stars genre icon Bill Oberst Jr.Jane Pokou, Justin Major, and Stacy Campbell (there’s also a character listed in the credits as “Rotting Pedophile”). Check out the plot crunch:

After connecting with a stranger of similar interests on-line, Gordon and his young son Paul embark on an ill-fated road trip in which Gordon aims to indulge a secret passion. Before the day ends, a horrible truth will be uncovered and a harsh lesson will be learned.

Check out the larger image of the poster below. HEIR is hitting the festival circuit and I’m sure will tear it up just it the previous films in the trilogy did. To learn more about HEIR, check out their Facebook page.

Stay Bloody!!!
