Wayward Pines Coming to Fox in May

A new 10 episode mini-series, WAYWARD PINES, is coming to Fox this May. The series is based on “The Wayward Pines Trilogy” by Blake Crouch and is adapted by Chad Hodge. The pilot episode, “Where Paradise is Home,” is directed by M. Night Shyamalan who will then be the series’ executive producer. The series stars Matt Dillon, Terrence Howard, Carla Gugino, Toby Jones, Shannyn Sossamon, Reed Diamond, Tim Griffin, Melissa Leo, and Juliette Lewis. Check out the plot crunch:

Ethan Burke (Dillon), a Secret Service agent who arrives in the bucolic town of Wayward Pines, Id., is on a mission to find two missing federal agents. But instead of answers, Ethan’s investigation only turns up more questions. Each step closer to the truth takes Ethan further from the life he knew, from the husband and father he was, until he must face the terrifying reality that he may never get out of Wayward Pines alive.

I’m getting a distinct TWILIGHT ZONE and TWIN PEAKS vibe here, but I’m definitely interested in checking this one out. Dig not the promo video below and tell me what you think. Wayward Pines is slated to premiere on May 14, 2015 at 9/8c on FOX.
