A man desperate to save his wife from a life-threatening illness is approached by a scientist claiming to have the cure at hand. They agree to his unusual terms–only to discover that the secretive work being done inside the institute holds unspeakable horrors. Could monsters actually exist in the real world? This creepy thriller blending fact and fiction explores that frightening possibility, as filmmaker Adam Green prepares a documentary project on the subject after being inspired by an encounter with a man named William Dekker (Ray Wise)–a mysterious character who insists he can provide proof of the monstrous thesis. This wild web series continues its series of short film shockers with “Help Wanted” (2010), about a really frightening warehouse job; “Bloodtraffick” (2011), in which a gun-toting babe gets in the middle of a vampire-angel war; “The Deed” (2012), where a land developer fights with a family over their property; and “Rose White” (2012), in which a young woman’s fantasy masks a grim reality. 60 min. total.
