In this American remake of the darkly humorous 2006 Thai thriller “13: Game of Death,” a debt-ridden salesman (Mark Webber) is desperate to make a fresh financial start with his wedding on the horizon. He gets the chance of a lifetime when recruited to participate in a hidden-camera game show calling on him to execute 13 increasingly sadistic acts in order to pocket millions. COOL AS HELL (2013; my review)
Comic book nerds Rich (writer/director James Balsamo) and Benny (Dan E. Danger) would have given their souls to have a rap for the ladies…and that’s where slick, fast-talking demon Az (Billy Walsh) stepped in. Trouble is, Az kind of forgot to shut the portal to perdition behind him…and the unlikely heroes find themselves having to stop a monster who’s, well, raising hell!
