Relativity to Give Somnia a Spring Theatrical Release
OCULUS writer-director Mike Flanagan is returning to theaters this spring with SOMNIA, supernatural thriller about dreams. Co-writing SOMNIA is Jeff Howard, who also co-wrote OCULUS and it stars Kate Bosworth, Thomas Jane, Annabeth Gish, Dash Mihok, and Jacob Tremblay. Great cast!! Not much else is known about SOMNIA. There’s been no official plot synopsis, stills, or even a teaser trailer released yet. But Flanagan did post the two images in this article on his Facebook page after SOMNIA wrapped up filming. What I do know is that the film revolves around an orphaned child whose dreams and nightmares manifest physically as he sleeps. This one sounds pretty promising.
Relativity has slated SOMNIA to drop in theaters in America on May 8, 2015. No date has been set for it’s U.K release but I’m sure it won’t be too far after May 8.
