American Exorcist Casts Leading Role

American Exorcist billTaking the wholesome setting of Christmas Eve and adding in the horrifying event of an exorcism, AMERICAN EXORCIST hopes to scare audiences by offering something a little different in the saturated “exorcism” sub-genre. AMERICAN EXORCIST is the second feature from the writing-directing team of Tony Trov and Johnny Zito (the first film they wrote-directed together was ALPHA GIRLS). AMERICAN EXORCIST stars Falon Joslyn and Jo Anna Van Thuyne and recently the production signed on their lead actor, horror icon Bill Moseley. Check out the press release:

American Exorcist – A Film by South Fellini

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania – January 22, 2015 – From the minds behind the 2013 horror flick Alpha Girls comes American Exorcist; the tale of a haunted highrise and an exorcism on Christmas Eve.

American Exorcist stars Falon Joslyn (Alpha Girls, Scrapple TV) as Georgette Dubois, a skeptical scientist from a family of mystics. The cynical young Georgette is horrified once confronted with the reality of the supernatural.  She risks life and limb to escape her ghoulish prison, stranded on the 11th floor of the American Building.

The production team is excited to announce the addition of longtime horror legend, Bill Moseley. Bill has starred in Devil’s Rejects, House of A 1000 Corpses, and Army of Darkness. Bill is best known for playing wild lunatics with a streak of murderous rage. American Exorcist will see Bill Moseley tapping into his “sweeter” side.

American Exorcist monsterThis is the sophomore project from directors Tony Trov & Johnny Zito. “We’re planning lots of old school practical effects and plenty of scares.” claims Trov.

“This movie is going to be a tense film that explores faith and facts.” says Zito.

They creators of American Exorcist have taken to Kickstarter to raise $15,000 for post production costs. With a number of killer rewards—there’s something for the horror fan in everyone. From comic book packages to your own walk on role in the film—these rewards are totally worth it.
