New Horror DVD & Blu-ray Releases for the Week of Jan. 25, 2015

Last year this was a weekly article I published so we could all stay up to date on the newest in horror and sci-fi releases. Unfortunately due to my deteriorating eye sight last year I had to give up this one up. But now it’s back!! This isn’t a complete list and the release dates are always subject to change.
It’s not a huge list this week, but here we go:
Stephen King’s unsettling novella from “Full Dark, No Stars” comes to the screen in this gripping Lifetime telefilm, in which a famous writer (Maria Bello) finds herself stranded by the side of a New England road after a tire blowout. She is grateful for the help she receives from another driver passing by…until she comes face to face with the grisly truth about him. Will Harris, Olympia Dukakis, and Joan Jett co-star. 90 min. In this contemporary Mexican horror film that recalls the classics of the past, a young woman moves into the creepy old mansion she inherited from her eccentric aunt–bringing along three of her girlfriends to share the massive space. Asked only to care for the deceased woman’s black cat, they find that simple task unleashes a demonic haunting of terrifying proportions.
