More Casting News for Stephen King & Tom Holland’s Ten O’Clock People

The Stephen King short story TEN O’CLOCK PEOPLE, from the NIGHTMARES AND DREAMSCAPES collection, was already announced to be getting the big screen adaption. Horror legend Tom Holland (director of the original FRIGHT NIGHT, CHILD’S PLAY, and King’s THINNER and LANGOLIERS) is set to direct. Now according to The Hollywood Reporter, some casting news is rolling in. Already casted is Justin Long, and now THR reports that Rachel Nichols is in negotiations to join the TEN O’CLOCK PEOPLE production. Here’s a brief plot summary:
The story centers on a man who, when attempting to kick his smoking habit, has his eyes opened to a frightening reality in which many people in authority are monsters. He joins a group of others like him called the Ten O’Clock People.
Nichols would play a woman who, like the man, can see a horrible aspect of reality, hidden in plain sight.
I read the short story when younger and this one has the potential to be pretty kick ass in the same vein as THEY LIVE!! We’ll see.
Stay Bloody!!!
I’m just a little concerned about Justin Long…I don’t want him to be his typical comedy self all wide eyed and doe like. Hopefully he can kick some ass!

I have the same concerns about Justin Long. Good actor, but maybe not right for the lead in a horror flick.
